About Doug
Doug Hardee is a creative director, published author, and Vietnam war veteran who exemplifies a lifelong pursuit of creativity through adversity, and helps others do the same. He began his successful career as a copywriter with McCann-Erikson and Young & Rubicam International. Through the years, he has won numerous awards including Clios, Cannes Lions, and top prize for the International Broadcasting Awards for “World’s Best Commercial.”
In addition to authoring two sci-fi novels, Doug is also an inspiring speaker and experienced consultant who helps companies, veterans, and teams overcome obstacles, pursue passions, and find success in the creative space.

Doug Hardee was 18-years-old when he enlisted in the US Marine Corps after attending one quarter of college in Gainesville in 1969. “I wanted to come back with the G.I. Bill behind me and live in an environment where you didn’t have to take mescaline to see a movie.”
